FALL TRYOUTS FOR THE 2011-2012 SEASON ARE
SEPTEMBER 18th!!!

Information Meetings

  • EVERYONE MUST attend an information session  to tryout for the team.
  • There will be two information sessions: Tuesday, September 13th in Squires in the Blue Ridge Conference Room on the FIRST FLOOR at 9PM and Wednesday, September 14th in Squires Room 219 at 8PM. You only have to attend one meeting.
  • At these meetings we will discuss all the aspects of our team and answer questions.
  • Sign ups for tryout times will also occur at info meetings.
  • If coming from out of town, you must attend a brief information session the morning of tryouts. Any questions you have may be answered by emails and tryout times will also be set up by email. If any further questions exist, you will be given time to ask before you tryout.
Fall Tryouts:
  • All tryouts will be held at Virginia Techniques Gymnastics. For directions see the “Our Gym” tab.
  • All cheerleaders trying out will sign up for a 20 minute time slot.
  • During the 20 minutes cheerleaders will be asked to perform a toe touch, pike, jump of choice, standing and running tumbling and will stunt with previous members of the team.
  • Cheerleaders will need to report to the gym 20 minutes prior to their try-out time to stretch and prepare.
  • We will ask you to leave after your tryout time.
  • Results of tryouts will be sent out by e-mail the night of tryouts.
Additionally:

After September tryouts the team will practice for two weeks. At the conclusion of this two weeks the coaching staff will designate alternate positions and have the right to do further cuts if they feel necessary.
